Some of the many volunteers that are committed to saving lives
AMMAR was founded On November 13th 2013 and registered with the West Virginia Secretary of States Office on that date, control # 9A34A, as a West Virginia Non Profit Incorporation. Our main functions are three;
1) To serve as a Hound breed, Safe haven, and Rescue
2) To assist local emergency management with missing persons recovery assistance, ManTrailing. Our volunteers are active with several emergency response agencies, serving the publics needs.
3) To educate the public about the Bloodhound Breed of dogs.
Our major source of funding is through public donations and fund raisers, which we rely on for everyday operations. AMMAR is an all Volunteer Organization. The organizers/ board members/ contributors are not compensated, as to direct virtually all the funds to the hounds.
We have a community filled with all the things you should know about your new family member.
Rescue, is a carefully choreographed operation of many individuals, from the shelters who receive these animals in, to volunteers assisting, The Cross-posters, Net-workers, Transporters and the Rescue it self. It Takes them all, and not a one of them, can do it alone! This is the commitment of many.
We're expanding! And we need everyone's help to make our dreams come true!
